Gorgeous Mid-Century Modern furniture can often be repurposed to fit the needs of a contemporary household, but its rare that a credenza or media console slots into your living room quite as seamlessly as this walnut piece. Two large cabinet bays with removable shelves and a central bay with 3 drawers allow it to be used for housing your entertainment unit, TV, records, board games, speakers, liquor cabinet and bar, etc.
It does this stylishly too! Raised from the floor on 4 turned legs, the credenza is embellished not with ornamentation but rather richly textured walnut wood grain, which means that you can still see the natural grain of the walnut. Each of the three bays is concealed by a set of walnut-faced doors inlaid in a distinctive triangle/hourglass pattern.
Restored by Niji to emphasize the natural character of the walnut. Often, mid-century furniture was covered in thick finishes and stains ostensibly to have pieces appearing more uniform for catalog purchases. We think that this flattening of the aesthetic is no longer necessary for those who love the variations in color and texture that wood has. Some minor wear may remain.
There is a pale spot as pictured in the 8th photo.

It was a pleasure to do business with Niji Furnishing. Max did a fantastic job with our credenza - we are thrilled with the quality and and will continue to follow their listings for future pieces.
