Designed by Merton Gershun for American of Martinsville, this highboy combines qualities from several of the nations who were at the forefront of design at the time. Danish proportions mix with American robustness and brass details, along with some Italian sass in the form of louvered drawer faces. Exceptional build quality, with the right amount of heft to let you know it's been around for 60 years, and can easily do another 60.
7-drawers, including a "hidden" top tray that would be great for jewelry and other accessories, crown the Dania tall dresser. 3 cubby drawers below that are deep and well-suited for organizing, especially if you've become quite adept at the KonMarie fold. Visually stimulating and immensely practical.
Restored by Niji to emphasize the natural character of the walnut. Often, mid-century furniture (not just the Dania series) were covered in thick finishes and stains ostensibly to have pieces appearing more uniform not just across an individual piece, but across pieces as well. We think that this flattening of the aesthetic is no longer necessary for those who love the variations in color and texture that wood has. Some minor wear may remain.
