RESERVED Restored MCM Walnut Dropfront Bar

Swanky splayed and tapered legs float this attractively proportioned mini-bar whose unique set of features make it more than the sum of its parts. Most prominent is the triple-action dropfront mechanism that sets into motion two additional mechanical components: opening the bar simultaneously lifts the top lid and causes the interior drink tray to lift up and project forward. There's also a backlight behind the the frosted glass that automatically turns on when the lid opens.

None of these features would mean much if they weren't supported by aesthetics. Composed of rich, figured walnut grain restored to a natural luster, its a gorgeous little piece even without the niftier elements.

The bottom part of the cabinet has two doors with a lock. As a bar, the top section can comfortably hold a bottle the height of the Ardbeg 10yr, but not something the height of a vodka bottle or taller scotch like the Oban 14yr.
