Pair of Italian Modern Teak Nightstands
Melding the modern with the traditional is commonplace in Italy, where new movements are seemingly less about the rejection of past ideas than integrating the new and old into the cultural heritage. The result is often a style we like to call Baroque Modern: part Roccoco, part Victorian, part Art Deco, part Modern, all sass. These nightstands are lent an animalistic personality by the splayed legs and some additional biomorphism by the neuronal brass handles.
Each nightstand has an interior bay space and a single small drawer. They are exceptionally narrow at 13", especially useful if you have closet doors or other impediments in the bedroom.
In very good condition, with minimal wear and tear. Construction is a combo of ebonized wood and teak.
