Postmodernism at its finest, exuding the warmth from earlier Danish pieces but with a robustness and gentle roundness not common in the 50s and 60s. Likely the most prominent and interesting part of the table is the tile section, which somehow achieves regularity and order in its differently sized rectangles and squares. To focus on one section: there is a pattern of two square tiles, one red tile and one white, two brass rectangles, and one large grey rectangle that together form a larger square with the bordering tiles extending the visual lines of the square's borders. Thoughtful design work!
The way the top rounds into the bottom and continues in a material sense through the straight legs evokes a small stream's gurgling waterfall.
The tile top and sturdy design make this table useful almost anywhere in the house as a hallway table, bar top, extra counterspace, or vanity table in your bedroom. The best part about the tile work is not having to worry stains or keeping coasters handy.

This table is a match to two others I have, and I was thrilled to find another one! The seller was so wonderful to work with and was there from purchase to delivery!
