Walnut High Dresser with Rosewood Crescent Inlays
An attractive example of the mid-century modern mix of minimalism and naturalism. The visual impact is supposed to be provided by the attention to form, whose sparseness is the canvas that allows the beauty of the wood grain to be its own ornamentation.
The one concession to embellishment is in the handles, made from curved walnut and recessed into crescent shaped cutouts lined by rosewood inlays.
